The Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Scottish SPCA) is Scotland’s animal welfare charity. In order to gain the public’s attention and raise awareness, the SPCA commissioned Megaflatables to create an 18ft giant inflatable dog.
The charity encourage kindness to animals, aim to prevent cruelty through education, investigate abuse, rescue animals in distress and find animals new homes and in 2013 the charity were named as an animal welfare charity. They receive no government or lottery funding and rely on public donations to continue their vital work rescuing and re-homing abused, abandoned and injured animals in Scotland.
