We have proudly donated an inflatable Bernard the Bear to Great Ormond Street Hospital for the Charity desk. They are one of our main partnered charities that we have the pleasure of working with.
Who Are Great Ormand Street?
Great Ormond Street Hospital is a hospital that has been dedicated to children’s healthcare and find new and better ways to treat childhood illnesses. Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity supports the hospital and its patients by funding four key areas which are: Rebuilding and refurbishment, support for children and their families, research into children’s heath and live-saving medical equipment.
Why Did We Make An Inflatable Bear?
This charity is very important to the team here at Megaflatables and it is a charity we will always help, support and encourage in any way we can. Every year leading up to Christmas, the Megaflatables team pull together and spend a weekend selling Christmas trees for GOSH’s charity. All the money goes to the charity and we are proud that our efforts can help in some way to this wonderful organisation.
When we noticed they needed something extra to help on the charity desk in the hospital, we knew they needed an inflatable animal! We got in touch with the team and come up with the idea of making an inflatable Bernard the Bear. Bernard is their mascot and is a favourite amongst the children.
The name Bernard means ‘brave and strong’ which is why he is the perfect way to represent these fantastic children and all that Great Ormand Street Hospital represents. And what better way to do that than to make him larger than life!
You’ll see that we designed Bernard to be sport the purple colour of GOSH, too. The Charity was so happy with the inflatable, this is what they had to say …

Smaller, cuddly versions of Bernard are available from the hospital’s shop, and all money goes to support the work the team there do.
