Manchester Pride, the Megaflatables way
Fifteen years after Queer As Folk exploded on to the screen, award-winning writer Russell T Davies is back with Cucumber, Banana and Tofu: three new interlinked shows for Channel 4, E4 and online. Cucumber and Banana are two original drama series exploring the passions and pitfalls of 21st century gay life, while Tofu is an online documentary series that explores all facets of contemporary sex culture.
With Manchester pride approaching, Megaflatables were contracted as part of the Channel 4 launch, to manufacture 500 large inflatable bananas to advertise the show coming soon .
As per the clients request we manufactured 500 bananas, with the clear C4 branding and core messaging on both sides.
But that’s not where we end this story. Our dedicated team, were at Manchester pride, inflating and handing out the bananas as part of the carnival itself.
